Mill - the windmill of the family Ilic

 

The tower of the former mill- windmills of the family Ilic originates from the beginning of the 19th c. This windmill is the best preserved of 125 mills for grain on the island (totally there were about 1800th ). Since 1903 ,when it ceased to grind corn, it has no got wings, it looks picturesque on the coast on the eastern part of village.

 

Those mills for grinding grain used wind which is usual in this region in any time of the year:
in winter there is north wind ("Bura“), the south wind ("Jugo“)and Levanat, and in summer there is breeze, west wind, ect .
